Derek M. Sinclair, PE, President & CEO

Derek Sinclair serves as President, leading the company’s daily operations with his extensive knowledge and experience in engineering, land development and general business practices. Derek oversees the interactions of ADH project managers with the development community in all land development ventures. Derek also serves as President of Contour, Inc, the land development affiliate of Newhall Jones & Stackman, LLC.

Derek is a Washington native, receiving his civil engineering degree from the University of Washington in 1995. He earned his Professional Engineer’s License (PE) in 1999. Derek’s experience encompasses residential, multi-family, industrial and retail development. His project management and engineering involvement to date totals over 1,000,000 square feet of retail development, 200,000 square feet of industrial, 500 multi-family units and 5,000 single family lots. Notable clients include Wal-Mart, Albertsons, Safeway, John F. Buchan, Polygon and the Murray Franklin family of companies, among others.

In early 2001, Derek partnered with Gary Jones of Newhall Jones & Stackman, LLC. Their portfolio includes nearly 1,000 residential units with additional retail development currently in progress. Representative projects which Derek has either developed or provided development assistance include Big Rock Ridge, Whistler Ridge, Renaissance Ridge, as well as Wal-Mart locations throughout Washington state. His expertise has also extended to select Safeways and approximately 10 Albertsons locations in the state.


Gary  D. Jones, Secretary Treasurer

Gary Jones serves as Secretary Treasurer of American Dream Homes, Inc. He specializes in business practices, accounting, cash management, land development and home building. Gary’s leadership is apparent in other affiliated companies where he serves as Secretary Treasurer. Those companies include NWTradition, Inc. (property management), Contour, Inc. (land development) and Newhall Jones & Stackman, LLC (speculative and custom home building). Gary’s commanding depth of financial management is utilized in every NJS affiliated company, each with its own unique needs, all successfully met.

A Washington native, Gary was an undergrad at WSU and later achieved his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington. Gary provided innovative cash management techniques for Paccar, Inc., served as vice president of a local bank and in 1975, joined forces with Greg Newhall. Their partnership began one of the longest standing partnerships in the Puget Sound building industry, Newhall Jones, Inc. Together, Greg Newhall and Gary Jones developed over 1,000 lots and constructed more than 1,000 single family and multi-family residences.
